 I am very much interested in your new books and hope to see them some day soon. Did you ever think

of writing a book on the movement of the hill-billies, po' white trash, Tennessee folks or Kentuckians that have moved north to defense jobs and to a new set of social patterns and mores? I think you could do a grand job with a background of that material. They are good people but tragic in their efforts to adjust themselves to their new environments.

 Thank you for your offer to see your library at some future date. I believe I would be lost without

the faces of old books I have read peeping over my shoulder as I relax.

 If there is any book in particular you would like to loan me, please give it to your son for me and
