Dear Mr. Conroy, I realize that you are a very busy man, but do hope that my letter does receive your personal attention. I am a non-traditional student at Black Hills State College and only in the last year really delved into the Depression Era. My history professor covers that time much as I thought it should be. He begins much earlier than 1929. Through Dr. David Miller's encouragement I have begun reading as many novels of the time. I am not so concerned with figures (I'll leave those to economists) as I am with the feelings of people, then and now. I would like to know where I might get a copy of the original sketches you used in "The Disinherited". I do have more than one copy of "the Disinherited" and loan them out to whom ever I can trust to return them in good shape.
