in pencil in top margin Request

2427 Belle Plaine Ave. Chicago 18, Ill. Nov. 22, 1943

Mr. Jack Conroy 3866 Lake Park Ae. Chicago, Ill. Dear Sir:

I have just purchased a copy of "The Fast Sooner Hound," which I would like to present to a very dear friend of mine as a Christmas gift. This particular friend is a teacher in the Franciscan Order and is stationed at St. Joseph's Convent in Milwaukee, Wis.
The Sisters in this Order are trying to enlarge their library and this happens to be one of the books they would like to possess.
May I ask you, as a special favor to my friend, to personally autograph this book which is being sent you by Mr. Bontemps as this means so much to the Sisters. Rest assured it will be greatly appreciated by all of them.
For your information, so that you may include her name in your autograph, may I say that her name is Sister Mary Berenice.
Mr. Bontemps wrote me saying he would autograph the book and then forward same to you for your autograph
Thanking you for the above courtesy and awaiting the return of the book at your earliest possible convenience, I remain

Yours very truly, (Mrs.) Albert J. Dolan
