1/27/77 Dear Jack -

   Tom James bought a hundred year old hand set press last week.  We plan to do underlined:  River City on it.  Yea, it's going to be a lot of work hand setting, triming [sic], putting together all those pages, but on the other hand, it's going to be a lot of fun expiermeting [sic] /working with print types, lino cuts and etchings.  Right now he's cleaning and sorting the 12 faunts [sic] he got in drawers and a half filled Cutty Shark box.
   Also, inclosed is an outline of an idea I've had for a project of Folk University.   For the first calendar, I as a Forum member, plan to do most of the organizing, research, whatever.  Verle Murer has said that the Foolkiller will put up most of if not all of the necessary finances.   If the '78 calendar can at least ? the ground, we hope to organize Free University classes (to do Kansas history research) and Communiversity classes (to do Missouri history research), but even still, we'll be reaching out to individuals outside of our organization for information and help.
   I think the outline is pretty self-explanitory [sic] to what the calendar will be.  Please send an important facts, quotes, photographs to:
