Conroy May 23, 89 Dear Chucky & Ray - Jack & I both enjoyed the letter & newspaper article so much. Loved your description of the election. I would like to think Daly would be equally fair - but - after all - he's a politician. I certainly agree with the article on guns. I made some copies of it & passed it around to some of my friends. It's good! Jack is doing better right now. He is in the hospital tho - Had to have his right foot worked on. The old diabetic problem causing trouble again. He had to remove part of his big toe. He is feeling real good and will be back at the nursing home in a few days. Even thought his condition is gradually deteriorating his mind is still sharp as can be and he loves for me to read to him, play tapes of music & just visit about everything that is going on here in Moberly & the world. He loves getting letters from his friends. Makes that old sparkle light up his eyes for a time.
