Like to have Summer Chicago Lit. TIMES - can send you NYC "underlined: Village Voice" -

Aug 3. '67 Dear Jack.

Returning yr Clay Reader' letter - good for you - do they take "outside" litrachoor, or only North Cah'lina ms.? Could I submit a story for underlined: CLAY READER - like I did for Univ. of Va. underlined: Spectator - was even, for a time, one of their "contributing editors" and I never attended Univ. of Va. - except to a few lectures!
My son in beloved hills of Va. with my brother & sister-in-law - my daughter flying with the filthy-rich to Bahamas - her underlined: second trip this summer - she writes: "I dearly love this land, and they have the underlined: friendliest natives." Now, I hear S. Carmichael may stir up the land - underlined: and Jamaica, and elsewhere - white folks are on the spot - but double underlined: we knew this during 1930's Depression Years. A "reactionary" friend (?) of mine stopped me on Alexandria Street other day and grudgingly said: "Well, Rogers, everything you predicted is coming about!" Wonder what he meant?

In left margin I found Milkweed rather underlined: bitter - but perhaps I didn't cook it right? Have you had elderberry underlined: blossoms fried in a cornmeal-and-egg-batter? You haven't LIVED!
