Nov. 14. 1976

Dear Jack:
Finally received the FOOLKILLER - liked the H.H. Lewis piece and yours about old Tom Benton,

the reprint of Butz's remarks and poem or song about Patty Hearst. Read what they said about I would be in next and recall I'd sent them that piece in underline The NEWS /underline about the Army making me an official artist - told them I guess the NEWS wouldn't mind a reprint provided they got credit - well it was an entertaining piece - I sent it to you didn't I? If not you can read it all in the FOOLKILLER - I guess they can use the drawings since it is offset. Do you think H.H. Lewis would answer if I wrote him a note - didn't realize he was that old - he stopped by and stayed overnight in Virginia with me I think - was good company and got along with my Mom and Pop - at least I think it was Lewis, I know Boris Israel was by - Hard to remember, got no memory to speak of anymore.

 Hanging on, Jack II.

on side How to get that paperback about Benton - I have a sketch by Joe Jones - only a linocut he did for ANVIL - had a letter from him but don't have it now. Remember?
