Sunday I am too sorry? to have had to delay this so long in vain, but I could not deny you without having made every effort, so I waited for [Ms Wills?]] to back? she letters, but alas, we see nothing but to submit. What else can we do dear Johnny, nothing else for the present, but we must hope for the future, so assure Julia of our sympathy and great desire to be able to do something for her, as the same time that she must see the constraint that is put upon us Charlotte says she would go in a minute if she were not tied by her children. I feel very badly, and cannot but weep at the thoughts of such a state of things, and I do most heartily pray for direction & strength to do right and I do believe it an impulse from Heaven to help our children God enthyhen? & helps us in the path of duty, let us leave and trust all to Him who can help us and all will yet be well. I wish Julia were hae? to? me could do something for her. Much love to you both, not forgetting the dear children, from me hier? very povorally? by Mr. Wills, Your truly & devotedly affectionate Mother
