June 2, 1965

Dear Mr. Conroy, The children wrote their stories today, and thought you might enjoy reading them. The emphasis is placed on the writing, not spelling. The children sound their words and while we sometimes find it a bit difficult to read the words, the children can read what they've written. Thank you for your interesting visit to our room. Also, you talk at OSU was most interesting. I'm glad I had a chance to meet you! Happy reading! Sincerely, Gwen Saari
