Dear Mr. Conroy:

      I wanted you to know that if you would like to have the original of the piece you wrote for Mr. Kingsbury you are welcome to it.  I treasure it and have all these years but I think you ought to have an original for your files.  So do let me know if  you'd like it.
     Did I tell you Dr. Eiseley had a serious operation right after Christmas, following a minor one previous to that?  In spite of it all he'll have a book of poetry out next fall (Scribners) & has 

-2- kindly dedicated it to my mother - maybe I've already told you that. She would have been so proud.
