   So I wear a brace ( I hope underlined: not forever!) to be able to walk yet rest the weary bone (immobilize it, leaving the rest of foot and leg mobile).
   It is light-aluminum, but the shoe is heavy - especially in summer and for managing the top floor.
   So I'm trying to move.  Apts. are so costly around here, not much luck finding any decent place so far.   The apt. here  (under uninsulated roof) is  hot - the fan hardly helping.
