May 2, 1966 Mon. Dear Jack -

You'd hardly believe it is spring in N.Y. The crossed out: April weather still lingers in April - chill, damp, dreary. but I hope when you come on the 14th, the sun will be shining.
I'd phoned Hill & Wang a short time before your current card came - the secretary to whom I spoke then had no idea underlined: when you'd be in N.Y.
Does your book come out May 4th or June 4? Tony F. and I spoke on phone yesterday, and puzzled over this.
Mary Ann, alas, is off to Europe on May 10th - on a 3-week holiday from her job at Pfizer's. She's sorry not to be here when you arrive, but perhaps if you stay longer, you'll see each other when she's back June 1.
Griggy (rehearsing for a new off-B'way play) was here Friday with all his family.
Yes, I know Helene Mullins well (she's Mrs. Linné Johnson) and told her of your coming, etc. She still lives across the street at 234 . (over)
