April 27, 1973 Dear Jack -
A long time ago I promised to find a copy of Murray Kempton's sophomoric diatribe. Here it is at last; not a very good copy but at least intact. These here north woods are what your mentor, Henry Louis Mencken referred to as the Sahara of Bozart, so that it was by some gracious dispensation of the heavenly powers that I found it. Aldous Huxley, alway [sic] a good man with a felicitous phrase, once called this kind of book, "A curious essay in destructive hagiography."
Showers of Blessings on you and all your kin Bill Wedlake
