Dear Jack,

     Yes, Midwest Humor did arrive and a good thing, too.  It went to the book box of my best class and has been withdrawn with delight many times - a welcome change from such somber writers as Dreiser, Anderson, Conroy, et al.  It's right nice to remember your old besotted American friend with all these books and the English do appreciate it.  By the by, though underlined:  The Disinherited is in some libraries, my bookseller hasn't tracked down that English edition.  Next time I'm in London I'll see what I can find.
    England's rather fun.  But here in the provinces I don't see
