SUN FLOWER POULTRY FARM STRICTLY FRESH EGGS OUR SPECIALTY R. R No. 4 MUSKEGON, MICH.

June 5, 1915.

Dearest Mummie & Grandma:

It is a quarter of six a.m. and the handiest time to write a letter on the above poultry farm. I've been quite an early bird for a week now and as I go to bed a couple of hours earlier than usual, I don't notice it much. Nellie's foot is steadily improving and doesn't pain her nearly as much as it did. She is walking now, without the aid of a chair, using the heel of her injured foot. She is very jubilant over the fact that her own special treatment (hot water and savina) made the consulting of an M.D. unnecessary.

There are 250 big hens and 200 little chickens on the place, mostly white leghorns. The latter dine 5 times a day so what with feeding them and attending to the housework I am aplenty busy. At noon the cow and her eldest son come to the back door and put their noses in, setting up
