address label HARVEY CURTIS WEBSTER Spickert Knob Rd. - Route #1 FLOYD KNOBS, INDIANA

Dear Jack, dear Gladys:

How horrifying that the Conroys have lost their folly. And what folly to make it a place for patient patient visitors to park. Ah, it was good in the days when impatient not-quite patients displayed their folly happily for good, sweet, lovable Jack and he foresuffered and sometimes after - suffered all -- to say nothing of tolerant, sweet, good, lovely Gladys who had her share of fore - and - after sufferings and joy. Your brightnesses will never leak away as long, and may it be very long, as we both avoid our only Maker and Begetter.
With us not much new, though there may be next year as I've an offer to teach the English novel contemporary at he University of Leeds. But there are slips even when the cup is between the lips.
Lucille teaches freshmen at U of L and U of Indiana (Jeffersmith), half time at each. I create writers in default of creating myself. Four poets a versifier out or to come out in various magazines, including one out in Dec. Attention by Exta Williams Walking. One novel sure of publication, three others probably to be published. And I teach poetry to sophomores, juniors, seniors, grads and friends (or try to). My book on English Novel since 1914 200 pgs. finished, not quite half. Reviews all I consistently have time for.
