Ducky Mum,

Why don't I get a letter from you? Haven't heard anything since the letter you wrote last Saturday.

I am forwarding a letter from Beulah Huston. Have been pretty busy lately. Went to town Thursday to Mrs Allen's "I will" club. Bum stuff. Don't think I'll join. They are all a good deal older than myself and I'm not specially interested in their work. They had Judge Newcomer speak. Never heard of him before and don't care if I never do again. The ladies all seemed much pleased with his talk. I wasn't. It consisted mostly of funny stories of the following type which he claimed were original but most of which I had read years ago. "One time I sentenced an old darkey
