J.W. ZEH, B.S, M.D. PHYSICIAN AND SURGEON 4642 N. 46TH AVENUE CHICAGO Sept. 28, 1914.

Dearest Mum: Got your letter this morning while I was doing my washing. Wasn't so tired after it this time as I didn't have to wash up the floor. Max mopped it yesterday. It looks fairly clean but I think I could improve upon it by scrubbing.

I think you did more than enough at Dart's to pay for your board. Glad you had such a nice time. You didn't;t say whether or not you received the paper I sent. Hope it reached you O.K. as it was the one containing the last instalment of the History of Europe. I am mailing you the main parts of yesterday's paper, including the comic section the Sunday American which Max picked while we were at Lincoln Park, where we spent the afternoon. The newlyweds and their baby were pretty good this time I thought. Perhaps Darwin would be interested in them. I started to write a poem the other day
