     Just a few lines to let you know I'm alive and still kicking.  We are moving out of the city tis week-end to a farm place.  I'll only have 1 acre but that's enough for a few chickens, and a little garden.  Little did we know what changes 20 years bring.
    I tried selling for a while but the Jew bastard finally made it too tough for me.  Guess I'll go back to boiler busting in about a month.
    Saw The Golden Arm last night & thought of Algren.  How is he getting along?  By the by - How's B.B. too?  Haven't seen or heard of the gay young batchelor [sic] in about a year.  Is he still horse happy?
    Give my love to Glady & write soon.  May come up & see  you some day.  Gotta car again.   Ain't that nice.
