8-26-58

Dear Jack-

Blake has been talking about sending me several copies of the Paris Review edition featuring his letter. Says he has a trunk full. He sent me 2 copys yesterday. One contained the letters and the other was the winter 1957 edition. If he had the winter 1957 copy why didn't he receive the Spring 1958 issue with his gator story?

I'm forced to conclude that he has a subscription to Paris Review and knew all along about his story. Why does the mother-fucker do these things?

Arthurs?! Some arthurs?! Yrs, Bud
