Dear Sherwood, I have been in bed? a few days now - with tonsillitis?and grippe. I am about alright now. It was fine to have your book come. It is a great book. And as you said it is profoundly disturbing. It is powerful. In me there is something very moving about the last part. The book builds up to it and then it hits you real hard. Somehow the whole thing gives me a direct challenge. I have ditched chasing money to hunt the first thing I know. The mysterious meaning and beauty in the appearance of things. I have thrown overboard most everything to go after it. I have a dim feeling that if I could put it down I would be alright inside. But life around me is poisoned? and it poisons? me.
