 fellowship at Northern Illinois University. He also is communicating with the University of Colorado. Had

not heard from them finally last week. His wife prefers Colorado (they both were there one summer). We prefer Northern Illinois, as that is closer.

 I have often wished you were nearer at hand. I have an idea for a novel, but don't feel up to it alone.
 Received the Winter Quarterly last week - six weeks late and it is mighty poor.
