it turned to snow. All night the wind blew and howled. O'Hare got some 16 inches. Here in Oak Park

we got six or seven inches. Yesterday the sun came out in the afternoon. The trees were covered with snow and ice. As it warmed up, the ice fell from the trees. Driving along, the ice would fall and hit the top of the car. The sound was frightening, but the ice did no apparent damage. A great many branches of the trees broke off during the night and littered the streets.

 The hell of it is that the weather men think we may get another one by Sunday.
 I now have six grandchildren. My older son, Stephen, has four. He is a mechanic with Trans. Continental

Lines (Trucking). He had one daughter and two sons,
