Dear Jack:
I did send you a letter around the 1982 (December) holidays, and have wondered whether or not you ever received

it. sometimes the mails are so erratic that it's a small wonder (miracle!) if anyone receives anything at all. (Just today, I received a letter from NY City postmarked 23 June, and one from Paris postmarked 22 June! C'est la vie, n'est-ce pas!)... I am directing a French Institute and keeping underline bien sur, /underline extremely busy. Last summers program was an outstanding success, so I'm hoping for the same outcome in 1983. so far, so good! It's a herculean task, but I'll survive it all. How are you spending the summer, Jack?
