last week but I had to return the following day. I'm scheduled to sing in Carbondale on January 18. Should one of Vance Randolph's books turn up in the University of Mo. library, I could take a jaunt there for a couple of days and visit you enroute. I hope it can work out because I would very much like to see you and Gladys.

   The school continues to prosper but we are faced with the necessity of moving.  We are about to mount a drive to build a home for the school.  Hold your hat, -- if we succeed it will be called "Carl Sandburg House"   Well -- he did quite a bit for folk music and folksay and besides, his name will draw dough.
    Again, draw deep from your well of charity and  forgive me for not singing last April.
