Yesterday at Ralphs request I wrote a long letter to Ralph outlining my suggestions for improving his friend, Lyndon Johnson's image. (Horrid Word) This was not a difficult task. But among my suggestions was that we throw a Wing Ding at the White House of real traditional music and love. And who, other than yourself, did I suggest to sustain the rightful place of the folk-tale in the Great Society. No one indeed! This may very well come off. I'll keep you posted.

   I have already submitted a plan to the commission which has been very well received to set up as many as eight regional folk festivals throughout the Sesqu. year (Dec 1967--Dec 1968)  You could certainly be used in this Project as an auxilliary [sic] Performer.
