 I have thought so often of you and Margaret Jean, but have just failed to write. The 

last you wrote, you said she had cancer.

 Last winter was a "Lost Week End" for me. Lacking ten days I spend with the Doloways

(Merry Ann) I was in the hospital from January 27 to April 8. I had open heart surgery, a by-pass, and drug poisoning which lost me 32 lbs. in 18 days. I know what it must be to starve to death. Carol was up here from Oklahoma for 6 weeks, 3 of those taking care of me after I finally got home to my own apartment.

 However, I have had a very pleasant summer, as many friends & Merry Ann have had me out to

lunch and to church club meetings. Do not go on public transportation - has to be a door-to-door basis. I did so plan to go to Oklahoma this month, but can't even think of it. But am happy that David, my 22 yr. old mail man grandson from Oklahoma is coming up this Saturday to see me,
