about - I class "Slappy Hooper" in this group - but can a book that size be done practically? Seems I recall your saying the price is a stumbling block. 

    Can a beginner, such as this ignorant one, hope to be successful in submitting an illustrated story to Simon and Schuster for the Golden book series, or what might be another angle?
