demonstrating surgical operations - and all that in addition to a big load of clerical work - which hasn't given me time for writing as I should like to do - I have been doing a few book reviews for the underlined: World In Books - a Boston publication which started up about a year ago. Most of my reviews have been of scientific books - but when I receive underlined: Slappy Hooper I intend to sent them a review of it.

    Thanks for the suggestion about underlined:  Negro Digest - an excellent idea. 
     I never hear from Elrick Davis = the last I knew of him he had written a book about underlined:  Alcoholics Anonymous - ghost writing for someone - and Angelus Burch - who used to be an editorial writer on the Cleveland Press - now with the Chicago News - told me that Davis was quite sold on the idea -  He was such a devoted drinker that it is hard to imagine --
   Did you know that Alan Swallow has gone into the publishing game - rather seriously?  He is teaching in the English Dept. of Denver University - doing some publishing of small editions on his own and has an agreement with William Morrows for more pretentious publications -
