      Your good letter of the 6th was heartily welcomed - I am glad to know that underlined:  Slappy Hooper is out and since hearing from you I've been watching the book pages of the local commercial press - without finding notice of it.   But in last Saturday's underlined:  Peoples World is a notice of the book - which I am enclosing herewith -
   I ordered a copy at the local "Progressive Book Shop" and called their attention to it, so I think they intend to stock it - underlined:  The Lincoln Book store in Hollywood also specializes in leftwing literature - and we will get up there soon and suggest it be made available.
   So far, I am sorry to say, I haven't gotten down to writing that article on negros in Medicine - It has been very difficult to get Material and facts. and I've been crowded for time - We have put in a plan of graduate teaching in the hospital where I work - and I have had to devote a lot of time to teaching and
