 The days are getting wet and (for us) cold. Cavorting in FUNVILLE, U.S.A. (S.F. to you) will probably be

abated somewhat, therefore, lest the tissues fail to snap back as they usually do when the environment is more clement. Reading over here, on the other hand, will probably be compensatorily increased somewhat, and if it is, I shall try to satisfy my curiosity about some of the works of yours mentioned in the dust jacket. If local resources fail me, I shall ask for your help. But let it be clearly understood that I shall accept it only if I am permitted to pay in full.
