   I recently went to see about a job as an editor with a local text book publisher.  After having me fill out an eight page employment application, the employment lady (who also runs the switchboard) administered three tests.  One for spelling, one for their brand of grammar and one for my ability to spot mistakes.
   On all three I turned in three of the grandest ? they've ever seen.  And the employment lady was able to score all three in a mite over four minutes.
   After more than a year, I finally got around to calling Eric Solowitz.  A very perceptive fellow.  When I said "Orr" was the principal character in "Catch 22", he snorted and gave reasons I hadn't even thought of.
   With his help, I may yet write something worth reading.
