 Question, then, do your scuttlebutt sources tell you any thing about publishers now looking for big novels?  No illusions abt anybody being crazy about big novels by unknown writers nowadays - no illusions or expectations - but since this underlined:  is definitely the last stab before I get rid of all my stuff - I'm looking for suggestions.  It's either that or pick a publisher out of a hat.  Of course, nearly every publisher has seen my stuff by now - but not recently - and no more than 25-30 times did I reach the higher echelons [4-5 times there were or - else confrontations]
   To describe HOGBUTCHERS is a task, I just dont feel up to.  I did so in a long summary of my writing career - which I wrote just before quitting - and if you were interested, I could send you those 25-30 pages which deal with the novel.
