His ashes will be disposed in the Pacific, in the Mississippi River at New Orleans (where I shall return temporarily), along the Appalachians (where I had planned to vacation for a week before labor day), and finally in Haymarket Sq. on labor day in Chicago (where I shall spend a year at the University of Chicago - Sept - June - 1461 E. 55th Place 60637).

He, of course, cared little about death; he thought only of life and its improvement. His last months fortunately were

spent discovering new scenery, people, and ideas. He loved the California climate and took cynical delight in observing its insanities.\ I shall miss him and his kind.
