2 some material (lists of little mags & an article I had once prepared and surveys of O'Brien re. ? The Anvil) which they might use. But the book had gone to press. However they did not need what I had! I can see now. I am living with that book in my spare time. They have done a wonderful job. In going over my "files" recently I ran across a postal card from Allen in 1938 which said he was writing a book on the little mags. several chapters of which had been published. Which brings me to a point:

    Several Sundays ago, in going over same files, I gathered what letters of yours that had not been lost, and had my wife read them aloud to me.  It brought her up to date on one phase of my "past" and I learned many interesting things, viewing them in retrospect.
    Perhaps you may have noticed, that I have done a little writing & publishing of late.  I also have hopes that the old sketches will be brought out in book form.  More of this in subsequent letters.   I also have a "novel" in progress.  But I write so much on the job - technical and scientific.  But (again) I travel some, going into the mills, and I can not help but write down my impressions.  My wife, Charlotte, helps me a lot typing, taking my dictation, underlined:  discussing - in fact it is a joint effort.  I just have to
