eastern edge of the county. The "clinic" or hospital is well known from the work done by Dr. Bond. circled and indicated with an arrow from before "clinic" to this spot Bat Cave It is a community in the mountains just south of Bear Wallow. All fine people when you get to know them. We don't seem to be rated here as "damn Yankees", but, then, all of our neighbors are native people and we don't live in the town's suburbs along with other retired folks.

The sketch of the church reminds me of the last book you sent me, "Under the Trees and Elsewhere" by Hamilton Wright Mabie. Gives one time to contemplate. The door is alwas open if one wants to pray. and there is more of an invitation to pray. Emily spends a few minutes with it, evenings, when we sit on the porch. But when the big moon appears over the top of the timber to our east, she puts the book down and contemplates the moon. Sincerely V. L. Sherman
