Many thanks for the beautiful card and Jack's letter, earlier. When I got

back I went to bed pronto with the flu and am only now getting up - and there went my Xmas shopping! Gosh, I was so damned sorry to miss seeing Gladys - but this flu must have been coming on, and what with my relatives pulling me different ways, I wasn't my own master of time. But I will be back fairly soon, to teach puppetry at the Lincoln School among other things - will have to keep more regular check on my folks. And next time, now that I have your address, I'll
