Dear Sherwood: I have just returned from George McClellan's funeral which took me away several days. He was killed in an automobile accident at St. Joseph Mo where he published a paper. The body was taken to Springfield Ohio for burial I accompanied the funeral part and helped attend to arrangements. He was my brother in law. You doubtless remember "Mack" -- a charming man. You and Marco and I have been in parties with him.

"A Story Teller's Story" has arrived and I have read it kiver to kiver. The best interpretation of Sherwood that has yet appeared. -- a fascinating book, every chapter. I am rejoiced to hear that it is going over, and I think.
