My Dear Mr Taylor, I can not say farewell my heart is full and I do not want to say one word that sounds like parting. O how I shall miss you: the dear Lord only knows. I do not even know myself. but this I know, that I have a friend that sticketh closer than a brother and that he will never leave or forsake those who put their trust in him. I want to pray for me. Remember me at times in your prayers it will give me strength. May God bless you and yours with his [unclear] blessings. My prayers go with you all. Yours sorrowing E. C. Macomber.
