of his position to get me out of scrapes with the local cops. For a while he was doing radio and J.V. scripts for (W.G.H.?). But for the past two years he confined himself to free lancing. Another literary personality who passed off the scene in the past month was Floyd Dell, famous for his novel 'Moon- Calf', and editorship of the New Mosses, during World War One - when Uncle Sam cracked down on it. I don't know whether Dell was sent to jail or not if my memory serves me right - I think the Government tried to put Dell & Max (Eastnon?) behind bars - but I don't know if it succeeded. Best of luck to you and Gladys and drop me a note when you're in the mood - I'm eagerly awaiting to see the birth of your Autobiography. Bye now Jimmy Sheridan 5427 No. (Henmre?)
