a whole lot of people feel nicer about the place where they live. I read the article on Elizabethtan in the paper and liked it a lot. Then today I was passing a newstand and saw your name on the ""Matirn"? and bought it. The Elizabethan article was in it and then in an add they said nice things about it. It would be wonderful if people would get more your feeling about such things. The hatred that is spread around so much does nobody any good. It gave me a big thrill when I saw that poem in the paper last week. I felt almost as good as if I had written it. It is a lovely poem. I showed it to Dwight Mac Donald but I don't think he liked it as much. His and my likings come together on some things and then jump poles apart. He thought Francis Thompson was terrible. We had a nice talk tho. I like him a lot. He hasn't paid much attention to painting But I think he will in time. I am glad you want to be with us and any time you choose July or any time is alright. You have mean't and do mean a tremendous lot to Kath & me and it's nice of you to wish you be with us. With lots of love from both Charles.
