3 April 1971. Dear Jack - Tomorrow is Palm Sunday. I went to 7 30 PM mass Tonite (Sat) which "Counts" for tomorrow. I enclose a piece of palm for you.

    I gave on the Jack Daniel's visit article to FJ Walsh - and urged him to write you.
    Your 3-21y threat, kidney infection, hi Bld Pressure and diabetes would do in anyone but a Gael.  NOW that you must forego the ? maybe Gladys will join you by giving up cigarettes?
     As I write the All-Ireland AA Convention is on in Limerick City.  Fri-Sat-Sun.  AA on the foggy isle is a quarter century  old next NOV.  There will be some 500 or so there.  A few SCOTS, Yanks and Limeys show up too.  
    I take it the Tillerys are O.K.?  I hope so.
    I went to a home meeting of AA in Wilmette Thurs. EVE.  12 There.   7 Non-Smokers - six of whom are former smokers.  I believe we NN's are gaining  on the Tobacco Syndicate.
   Richard J Daley has condescended to be mayor of Chi for a 5th 4 years term if the electorate call him to the office April 6.
   I'm sad to report he is being challenged by Friedman, a Jew.  I enclose a card showing one of Friedman's Volunteers.  Friedman has the same chance as Custer at the battle of the Little Big Horn.
   My asthma gives me some bad Times NOW again - but otherwise I'm NOT in bad shape for a Citizen who joined the divine Comedy in 1907.
