659 Wellington Chicago Ill June 26, 1965 Slim - Just finished reading and trying to group the poetry for the book-to-be. We are in trouble - almost nothing usable in the “light and fluffy” category, either in doggerel or in regular verse. Two possibilities to remedy this - 1) you can look for another envelope; 2) They didn’t turn ‘em in, and need some reminding (The reason they aren’t usable is they aren’t good enough.). Or, we can try with what we have and forget our preconceived section and other notions, if you’d like to get it moving now. In this event, let me know which evening you’ll have a free hour and we can go over what we have “in the bag” and can decide what to do with it. Will pop over Thursday night, anyway to pick up the missing ones. But we do need more couplets, quatrains, and verse up to 4 stanzas in length. On another topic, do you have any use for the dope I gathered on Prohibition and the propaganda and facts from the liquor groups? (more)
