Xmas '65 Dear Jack,

I phoned Barbara at her bookstore & it seemed to me that she was a bit busy at the time but in any case, I need twelve of your books, she

had only nine, and said she could not order any extras for me. Not to worry. I'll order the lot from Chandler's where Jerry gets a faculty discount & which Barbara says she cannot give - fair enough, though perhaps for that many books I should order where our faculty discount is no problem.

Another story of mine will appear in EPOCH soon and I'd like to send you a reprint.
Did you see in the Midland Authors bulletin where Saul Bellow is compiling - has compiled? - an anthology of Chicago writers stories & novels?

Will you be in it? I would expect so.

I hope to see you soon. Perhaps you & your wife can pay us a visit after the holidays & mud season?
   Best wishes Florence Cohen
