Dear Miss Roullier - In spite of Mr. Allerton's very kind intercession on my part with you last year, and your very considerate acceptance of myself as an exhibitor at the Arts Club of Chicago during the coming season, I have practically abandoned the idea of going to America with my drawings or of sending them for exhibition in the States which it seems to me would make such an undertaking quite unprofitable. Only encouraging words of optimism from you concerning the coming year in the art world would make me reconsider this decision. However I would be grateful to you if you would accept, preferably thru my agent Mrs Charles Whitmore of Hingham Center Mass an exhibition of my lithographs, for which there would be greater demand than my drawings at present. For December or later I could send enough for a fairly large one man show. I can send earlier but I think that by that time my collection will be much more effective.
