   I am a doctoral candidate in History at Columbia University and am doing research on the Federal Writers' Project of the 1930s.
    My research indicates that you were on the FWP for a time. I'd like to ask you these questions:
   a) do you have a file on the FWP? (I could return it quickly, if necessary)
   b) can you suggest other people I could contact for interviews (esp. writers)? I'd like to see you when I get to Chicago this year. (If you plan on coming to N.Y. underlined: please contact me first!)
