2 I went back to the P.O. and was told that the book had already reached its destination - but they were talking about the neighbor's book, not mine. Nothing could then convince them that two books were involved. I departed and waited consequences. Finally: your letter came. 

 Sorry to burden you with this confusing story (which still has me dazed). And sorry T. burden you further to ask if you'd mind sending it again.

It's a book I've very much wanted to own for quite awhile.
