to dig out Win Straake's record underlined: Americana. and what a remarkable job he does on those folksongs - none better in my small collection. Have wished these seven years that I could get up to Chicago and meet with you and Studs and Win - but it never came about. I've been eternally grateful for your favorable review. (My second edition moves along OK - but the whole business needs doing again. Someone else will have to do it.)

  Now, to  your card.   We do hope you can get down to K.C.  We'll be at home most of the summer, and I do want to see you.  Give us a ring and I hope we can get together.
  We heard from Fagin recently.  His retirement years have been most fortunate, it seems to me.  Though crossed out:  I've se  we've seen him very little since that summer of 1930 in Vermillion, S.D. (we both taught there that summer), I have considered him one of my best friends.  He has, I believe, sent me a copy of every book and article he has written.
