[in pencil in top margin] Larsen, Eileen

July 25, 1976 Dear Jack.

You and Gladys have my utmost sympathy. I am sure you know that Erling and I suffered the tragic loss of a beautiful and talented daughter back in 1960 - a car accident - She was four days away from her 22nd birthday. She also was a writer of promise.
Our son and other daughter and their families are coming to see me this week. I hope to have lots of time to talk about many things with them One is to find out if Eric, who is writing and publishing is interested in doing something with Erling's works - both published and unpublished. If he isn't then I think I'l see if I can find someone else who is - or, perhaps, even have a stab at it myself -
I hope you are back to work on your autobiography - The world needs it.
I know a bit of how y ou feel
