On the Mich. Central we used to use I.C. tracks 'twixt So.Water street yard (the very north end of Randolph street - suburban

platform is So. Water) and Bumtoion - ^ 117 & Cottage grove using the two east tracks, which are freight tracks, also making deliveries to the M.C. - NYC team track, a block away from the scene of the rear end collision which was at 27th Street station.

Quite a lot of gloomy, wet weather; only mildly cool, though.     F.M.

We "rails" get our pension checks on the 1st. In a letter I received from Sen. Kennedy, he says the Nov. check would "reflect" the

20% raise. I had written to him and other "pols" thanking them for overriding Nixon's veto of our raise. Wonder if he'll have a little note saying how much he wanted us to have the $$ !! Our lousy union (U.T.U.) sticks with Meany We are A.FL/Cio also.
